Taiwanese battery company ProLogium Technology has started mass production of its new Gen 3.5 all-solid-state battery in Taiwan.
The 185.4 Ah cell achieved 381 Wh/kg and 903 Wh/L in TÜV testing — energy-density figures that could eventually enable lighter batteries, smaller packs or longer EV ranges.
UL Solutions also tested the cell under China’s GB/T 43568-2026 standard. After spending 6 hours in a 120°C vacuum, the cell lost less than 0.05% of its weight, compared with the standard’s 0.5% limit.
ProLogium says its Lithium Ceramic Battery (LCB) technology uses a ceramic separator and edge-frame design to improve safety and sealing.
The company says it has already shipped more than 2.4 million LCB cells and developed four generations of battery technology and three generations of manufacturing technology.
The Gen 3.5 battery is being developed for EVs, AI data centers, ships and aircraft.
The 381 Wh/kg figure is for an individual cell, not a complete EV battery pack. A finished pack will have lower energy density because of cooling systems, wiring, casing and other components.
ProLogium has also not announced that this specific Gen 3.5 cell is already powering mass-produced passenger EVs.
