Cybercabs left Gigafactory Texas with factory-fit Starlink modules built into their rear hatches in large numbers for the first time.
On September 8, drone photographer Joe Tegtmeyer posted footage from the factory’s outbound lot as production resumed after the long weekend. Tesla North reported that the footage showed multiple Cybercabs carrying the hatch-mounted modules, marking a clear move beyond the single Cybercab with a roof-integrated Starlink antenna revealed in August.
The hardware appears to be moving from one-off demonstration to volume production. That could give Tesla’s autonomous fleet a built-in path to stronger connectivity as Cybercabs begin operating at scale.
