Dubai Municipality has launched an international initiative to build what it describes as the world’s first residential villa constructed entirely by robotic systems.
More than 25 technology companies and academic institutions will participate through a global consortium managed by Zacua Ventures and the Würth Group.
The project aims to automate the full construction process and deliver a villa that meets live housing standards, not experimental benchmarks.
The initiative was announced with the opening of the Construction Innovation and Research Centre at Expo City Dubai, a permanent testing hub for advanced building systems.
Officials say successful technologies will influence future regulations and support Dubai’s goal of shifting large-scale construction toward automation and off-site manufacturing.
