Apple achieved a major milestone in 2025 by exporting over $50 billion (₹4.5 lakh crore) worth of iPhones from India, marking a historic win for the Make in India initiative.
Since the start of the PLI scheme in FY22, iPhone exports have steadily surged, crossing the $50 billion mark by December 2025 alone. In the first nine months of FY26, exports touched $16 billion, while FY25 saw production of $22 billion, with nearly 79% shipped overseas.
With manufacturing partners like Foxconn, Pegatron, and Tata Group, India now produces 20–25% of global iPhones. This shift from China highlights India’s growing strength as a global manufacturing and export hub.
