It doesn’t mean the trains are literally plugged straight into a wind turbine, but the railway company buys enough wind‑generated electricity to match 100% of their trains’ energy use. Every ride you take there is essentially carbon‑neutral on paper.
It’s wild to think that something as ordinary as commuting by train can be fully green. Makes me wonder how long it’ll be before more countries catch up.
