Costco has partnered with Thrive Living to address Los Angeles’s housing shortage by building an 800-unit apartment complex above its new Baldwin Village store.

Set for completion in 2027, the mixed-use project will reserve 184 units for low-income residents. Housing costs will be subsidized through revenue generated by the retail space below, reducing the need for public funding.

Built using sustainable modular construction, the development will include modern amenities such as a rooftop pool, demonstrating how retail and affordable housing can coexist to support communities.
