Vietnam has officially begun the construction of its 120 kilometers High-Speed Railway connecting Hanoi to Quang Ninh Province. 🇻🇳🇻🇳🇻🇳
The groundbreaking ceremony, held in Quang Ninh on April 11, was presided over by Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, marking a major milestone in the country's transportation development.
The 120.2-kilometer line will traverse four localities: Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, and Quang Ninh. It features double tracks with a 1,435mm gauge and full electrification, allowing trains to reach maximum speeds of 350 km/h – though speeds will be limited to 120 km/h in urban sections of Hanoi for safety and environmental reasons.
The railway is funded by VinSpeed, a subsidiary of the leading conglomerate Vingroup.
