China has introduced the Honghu T70, its first fully autonomous electric tractor designed for agricultural operations.
A lithium-ion battery powers the tractor and uses a permanent-magnet synchronous motor with an intelligent control system.
It operates autonomously using AI, 5G connectivity, and satellite navigation, achieving positioning accuracy of about ±2.5 cm.
The Honghu T70 features a dual-motor setup, with separate motors for vehicle movement and farming implements, and can run for up to six hours on a single charge.
The tractor is already in use in Hebei province and other agricultural regions, performing tasks such as plowing, sowing, crop care, and harvesting.
