Light pillars : beautiful, thin, and tall lights.

This phenomenon is called light pillars. They resemble beams of light. Narrow paths of light are visible, extending from the sky, usually in the Arctic, as well as in some places in the United States and Canada, where it is extremely cold. This illusion is created when cold air turns moisture in the air into crystals. The crystals then slowly fall to the ground. When ambient light, such as street lights, hits the crystals, the effect results in the illusion of a beautiful, thin, and tall light.
