Unlike traditional wooden or metal fences, solar fences are fitted with vertical solar panels that generate electricity while still serving as a barrier or privacy screen. In some cases, the long-term cost of these installations can be lower than conventional fencing because they produce electricity that helps offset energy bills over time.
