Saudi Arabia is planning the Rise Tower in north Riyadh, a mind-blowing 2,000 meters tall. Backed by the Public Investment Fund, it could become the tallest structure on Earth.

The project’s budget is around $5 billion, with bids expected to roll in by 2025.

If it actually happens, Rise Tower would dwarf Dubai’s Burj Khalifa (2,717 ft, $1.5B) and even beat the long-delayed Jeddah Tower.

Basically, the sky just got a new boss.
