Elon Musk’s companies are planning Terafab, a massive semiconductor manufacturing complex in Grimes County, Texas, with a proposed footprint of more than 100 million sq ft (9.3 million m²).

The project is tied to SpaceX and Tesla and is expected to involve more than $16.8 billion in initial investment.

If built at the proposed scale, Terafab would rank among the largest industrial buildings ever constructed.
