Sơn Đoòng cave is a living ecosystem.

Hidden deep in the jungles of central Vietnam lies Sơn Đoòng Cave, the largest known cave on Earth. Stretching over 9 km in length and reaching 200 meters in height, this underground giant is so massive it could fit a whole block of New York skyscrapers inside!
But it’s not just about size — Sơn Đoòng is a living ecosystem. Inside, you’ll find underground rivers, lakes, jungles, and even clouds forming beneath the cave ceiling. Sunlight streams through giant openings called dolines, allowing forests to grow in the darkness. 🌳☁️
First discovered in 1991 and fully explored only in the 2000s, this natural wonder lies within Phong Nha-Kẻ Bàng National Park.
